- Responsible for achieving timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities
- Build relationships and manage service levels with key external vendors supporting the preparation of financial statements and review the work of our outsourced partners
- Coordinate and manage the audit process with our statutory auditors
- Work closely with Tax Teams for the filing of Corporate tax and VAT returns
- Prepare and /or review Tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close for assigned APAC entities
- Lead projects to optimize and transform the Statutory Compliance process by analyzing areas of opportunities and designing, testing and roll-out of new tools and processes
- Track and coordinate activities, status and planning for the APAC statutory audits by working closely with the INTL Statutory Operations COE team
- Collaborate with XFN partners within and outside Finance to execute Accounting Team Objectives, providing support to finance management where required including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects
- Primary contract administrator within International Statutory Operations team
- Coordinate end to end StatOps vendor contracting and billing processes, triaging and escalating queries or issues as they arise, and tracking through to resolution.
- Coordinate with cross functional partners (XFN’s) both internal and external to effectively design and manage execution of contracting project plans on time
- Fully own all tasks related to execution of contracts and issuance of purchase orders, including maintenance of status tracker, risk assessment and reporting
- Build rapport with XFN’s and be vendor facing primary POC
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement for the benefit of the team
- Assists in preparing progress and planning documentation when necessary
- Attends all client and staff meetings pertaining to project
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)
- 8+ years relevant experience with a fast-growing, multinational company or professional services (i.e. Big Four)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
- Highly collaborative, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being comfortable with navigating change
- Superb attention to detail and possess a macro view
- Proven experience in delivering a project on time, especially to tight deadlines
- Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in G-Drive and MS Excel
