About
Chie Soma
Chie has spent over two years as the Director of Operations at Peoplebank, where she feels truly at home, leading operations with a focus on change management and cultural transformation.
Before this, Chie served as the Business Improvement and Innovation Manager at Peoplebank, driving initiatives that enhanced organisational culture and employer branding. Her journey started within Peoplebank’s parent company, Recruit Group, based in Japan. Chie spent nearly 13 years at Recruit Holdings, taking on roles such as HR Business Partner for the Global Staffing Business Unit and Global HR Specialist. During this time, she played a key role in strategic human resource planning and HR due diligence for M&A projects.
Upon relocating to Australia, Chie continued her career within the Recruit Group's subsidiaries, holding leadership positions at Chandler Macleod and RGF Staffing ANZ. Her roles included General Manager of HR Transformation and Acting Chief People Officer, where she focused on HR transformation and employee performance management.
Chie is proud to have remained within the Recruit Group family, contributing to the growth and success of its businesses in both Japan and Australia. However, she feels very fortunate to have found her perfect fit with Peoplebank, where her commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the company's culture have made her an invaluable asset to every team she has been a part of.
